Find Your Feet in action

Our approach is not to dictate how the communities we work with tackle the poverty they experience, but instead we enable them to decide how they want to build a better future. This means we don't give handouts, instead, we listen and provide them with the skills, training and confidence they need to help themselves. It takes time to get it right because we want to support long-lasting and sustainable change rather than provide a quick-fix.

There is no single 'answer' to ending poverty. That's why the support we offer people ranges from training in sustainable agricultural techniques to training in advocacy skills.

"Why India and Malawi?" is a question we are often asked. In 2004 we decided to concentrate our efforts here because our work was already having a significant impact, but there was a need to do so much more.
